The term Chemical-free sunscreens is commonly used to describe “physical” or “mineral” sunscreens, those that use the minerals zinc oxide and or titanium dioxide as their only active ingredients
Zinc oxide is the only mineral component in Le Zennoir sunscreen, and the best, safest, and most effective UV filter out there today
It works by sitting on top of the skin, to deflect and scatter damaging UV rays away from the skin, rather than chemicals that sink into the skin. They are also referred as physical blockers.

Chemical based sunscreens can damage not only our skin but also our organs, as it’s absorbed into our tissue and bloodstream
Besides the human damage, they also harm the planet
Over 12.000 tons of sunscreen go in the ocean every year, destroying marine life and bleaching coral reefs

Some of the potential health risks of chemical sunscreens include:
– Hormone disruption, mimics estrogen and raises risk of breast cancer
– Allergic reactions
– Oxybenzon and Octinozate are the most dangerous chemical agents on sunscreen
– Bioaccumulation in tissue and organs (bloodstreams)
– Also found in mother’s milk, reaching even the unborn
– Oxybenzone is pegged for lowering thyroid hormone
– Shaving may increase the absorption of chemicals
– Failure to biodegrade in the environment
– Free-radicals can cause cancer and pre-aging

– Featuring an ultra-light texture, this SPF 34 PA +++ tinted sunscreen, provides protection against both UVA and UVB rays and air pollutants, by forming a moisture-rich veil
– Protects from the sun as soon as it’s applied, no wait needed
– Lasts longer when in dircet UV light (but not when doing physical activities that cause the skin to wet or sweat)
– Less liking to cause a stinging irritation on the skin, making it better for sensitive skin
– Better for those with heat-activated skin (rosacea and redness), since it deflects the heat and energy given off by the sun away from the skin
– Less likely to be pore-clogging, making it ideal for blemish-prone skn
– Longer shell life
– Biodegradable
– Micronized minerals, not small enough to get through the cell walls, are nothing to worry about
– Microfine zinc oxide is broad spectrum and a safe and effective sunscreen. Has the ebst UV absortion profile, and is the only active ingredient the FDA approves for babies
– Though essential oils have low SPF ratings, when combined with the rest of the ingredients, they can lend SPF and also provide nourishing effects including anti-aging protection for the skin. They also content powerful antioxidants that protect the skin from free radicals in UV rays that promote skin damage and premature aging
– Free of artificial colour

1 review for SUNSCREEN LOTION SPF 30

  1. Marianne Gaultier

I have fairly pale skin and can burn easily so I usually wear a factor 50 on my face and 30 on my body. I was fortunate enough to try the natural sunscreen whilst on holiday in India (it was very hot during the day with full sunshine). I used the natural sunscreen its own and found it was easy to apply and smelt good too, but this amazing product was effective for the whole day! I was delighted at how well it worked and would absolutely use this product over any others in future!!
